I am Pam Fricker, a Counsellor and Supervisor working in Private Practice in the South Hams and Plymouth area. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Diploma in Supervision and I abide by BACP’s code of professional ethics.

I work with adults with all kinds of personal issues, including depression and anxiety, my particular specialism is bereavement work. I have worked in a range of settings within the NHS, private and voluntary sector which have included terminal illness, dementia, mental health and unresolved grief issues/bereavement.

Unresolved grief can affect people for years, or even decades after the loss that caused it. Some symptoms of unresolved grief can include physical illness, depression, anxiety, disrupted sleep and issues with food. There can be many other symptoms.
Grief/loss is not only related to bereavement people can experience grief/loss after a whole range of life events including the ending of a relationship, moving home, job loss or change or the sudden death of a loved one.

Through the counselling sessions, I will work with you to help resolve any issues you may bring to the counselling space.
